The Fountain of Youth

By Terri Emmett The fountain of youth has always been the most sought-after yet illusive pursuit of man. Does it truly exist? Yes, it does, but not in a tangible form. The fountain of youth is an attitude, a way of thinking, and a way of life. The biggest thrill of childhood was the anticipation of joy and happiness yet to come in your life. Natures progressive order of growing up was inborn in our conscience: o Get an education o Get a job o Get married o Raise a family of your own o Retire and live happily ever-after Having so much to look forward to in getting older was what made childhood so exciting and full of wonder. Occasionally people reach a stage in life when the thrill of optimism and joy of expectation of these highly anticipated milestone events seem to have been replaced with a ho-hum existence, sprinkled with disappointment after disappointment. This is commonly known as a mid-life crisis. Life automatically has its bumps in the road and everyone experiences the entire emotional gamut in varying degrees. Frustrations, worry, depression and disappointment ultimately take their toll and low self-esteem is most often the individual result. It is this low level of self-esteem that makes you age faster than maybe you actually need to. The biological clock and gravitational forces dont show any kindness, either. So what if you start to look older? If you werent getting older you would have a bigger problem. It happens, so make the best of it. What would happen if you chose to think young again and discovered an entirely new area to explore within your world that gave you something to look forward to every day? Your emotional health would begin to heal and from there, your physical health would be positively affected. You could assume the same innocent anticipation you had as a child, able to experience again that same child-like inner happiness, strength and positive energy. Life is to be lived with enthusiasm and with a strong desire to see what comes next. This is the power of youth. When you make up your mind there is nothing left, age takes its toll. The power is inside you to think young and therefore restore your youth all over again. You can change your thoughts by changing the way you choose to view situations, circumstances, people and especially yourself. Self-confidence and self-esteem make you look, feel and carry yourself youthfully. Making the effort to look your best from head to toe at all times, gives you personal pride and allows you to defy human nature in an effort of fighting the negative elements of physical aging. What did you do when you were a kid? Why not continue doing it? Bounce on a trampoline. Lift weights. Play games. Swing on the swing at the park. Laugh. Take a nap. Accept a new challenge now and then. Maybe your life just needs a little rejuvenation and your furnace of metabolism just needs a little re-regulating. Having something to look forward to makes that possible and adds sparkle to life. Hope is an attitude without age limitations. Keep your mind filled with knowledge and keep it productive. Do all the good you can with what you have and never quit having a goal to work toward. Nothing brings more joy in life than achievement of your goals, perhaps because by now you have learned that you have no choice but to give your best efforts and utilize your talents to reach them. Having something to strive toward allows you to overcome emotional old age. Decide on a new goal and give your best efforts in attempting to achieve it. Nothing brings more joy in life than a goal achieved. Wanting to do something and giving it the very best you can provides an inner personal joy. Hard work, dedication and determination will bring greater happiness than anything else in life. Refuse to get old. You dont have to. Youth is enthusiasm, activity, plans and projects. Fall in love with what you are doing. o Smile often o Have a good sense of humor o Make others feel happy about themselves o Know your limitations o Laugh at yourself o Be your true, uninhibited self o Be determined to excel o Retain your own personal technique and make it your trademark Tell yourself you are still a child and that you plan to stay there. You can turn back the hands of time by dressing younger and listening to the music you listened to when you were a hope-filled, love-struck teenager. Seeking ways to improve yourself must become a way of life - and its never too late to start! Chyavanaprash - Nature’s Gift For Staying Young And Healthy

By Mark Farrar Chyavanaprash (chee yah VAH nah prahsh, and sometimes spelled Chyavanprash, Chyavan-Prash, or even Chyawanprash) is Nature’s Gift for staying young and healthy - it’s a 100% all-natural, ancient longevity & rejuvenation tonic! According to Ayurveda, the ‘Rasayanas’ are ways to impart long, healthy, disease-free life. ‘Rasayana’ (’Rasa’ means ‘food juice” and ‘ayana’ means ‘movement’ or ‘circulation’) aims at maintaining youthfulness, vigor, vitality of the body and keeping away the ageing process, senility and debility. It maintains the proper functioning of the cells and rejuvenates the cells too. As such it also keeps away diseases. Chyavanaprash is a comprehensive herbal tonic with multiple health benefits, prepared according to an ancient Ayurvedic formula. Used by people all over the world today, it is a proven energizer, immunity booster and pre-emptive tonic. Maharshi Chyavan first prepared this medicine to bring back youth in an old and fragile body - that is why it is known as “Chyavan-Prash”. Charak Samhita, the ancient Ayurvedic treatise written by sage Charak in the 4th century BC, contains the first historically documented formula for Chyavanaprash. According to the ‘Charaka Samhita’, Chyavanaprash is “the foremost of all Rasayanas, and is especially excellent for alleviating cough, sinus problems, and asthma! It nourishes the weak, the wounded, the old, and those that are of tender years as well.” Through the use of this Rasayana, “a person acquires intelligence, memory, comeliness of body, freedom from disease, longevity, strength of the senses, great pleasure in the companionship with women, great increase in the strength of the digestive fire, improvement of the complexion, and preservation of the harmony of the three Doshas (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha).” This unique ‘jam’ is a mix of 49 powerful Ayurvedic herbs with ‘amla’ (Indian gooseberry) as the base. The other ingredients in this traditional recipe include ashwaganda, pippali, cardamom, nutmeg and cinnamon in a base of Ghee (clarified butter) and honey. This magic elixir is good for all, irrespective of age and gender, and creates a harmonious synergy in the body leading to better metabolism. Here are some specific health benefits of Chakrapani’s Special Chyavanaprash. Digestive and Immune System: Chyavanaprash’s basic ingredient, amla, has 30 times more vitamin C than orange and helps in strengthening the immune system and expediting the healing process. Regular intake of Chyavanaprash strengthens digestion, absorption and assimilation of food and balances stomach acids. Heart and Brain: The perfect blend of Ayurvedic herbs acts as a cardiac stimulant and helps in smooth functioning of the heart. Chyavanaprash nourishes the brain cells by supporting the nervous system and enhances co-ordination and memory power. The tonic is good for students as it increases retention and recall. Lung, Liver and Kidneys: The smooth functioning of the lungs is facilitated by the regular intake of Chyavanaprash. Moisture balance is maintained in the lungs and gives new energy to the respiratory system. Chyavanaprash helps purify blood, invigorates the liver and helps to eliminate toxins. It helps the downward flow of energy in the body and eases constipation. Apart from these, this herbal jam eliminates wastes from the body without overloading the urinary system. Other Benefits: The holistic traditional formula of Chyavanaprash improves skin complexion and fights dermal bacterial infection. It promotes hair growth and helps absorption of calcium, resulting in strong bones and teeth. It is especially good for alleviating coughs and asthma. The anti-oxidant properties of the tonic act against the ageing process and maintain youthfulness. Chyavanaprash enhances fertility, keeps menstruation regular and helps to overcome difficulties in conception. It also improves muscle tone by enhancing protein synthesis effectively. The age-old Chyavanaprash is regarded as an all-embracing herbal health tonic by one and all, and has become an indispensable part of a healthy family. 1-2 Tablespoons daily will give you these other benefits as well: Excellent source of Vitamin C Enhances food absorption Balances stomach acids Fortifies the liver Nourishes the brain and boots mental functioning Supports the heart Strengthens the lungs Regulates elimination of wastes from the body and flushes out toxins Supports reproductive health Helps the urinary system Promotes healthier hair Increases vitality Strengthens the eyes Acts as a powerful antioxidant Enhances the immune system Caution: This product is not suitable for persons suffering from diabetes. Employ Bridging Loans for Short Term Financial Gaps

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Eva_Baldwyn]Eva Baldwyn Each one of us may face financial crisis in our life. I too have faced. I always wanted to own a home with a big beautiful garden. I had been looking for it for a long time and one day I found it. However, there was one problem, I would say a major one, I couldnt find any customer to sell my existing house so that I could finance the purchase of the new house. And I didnt even have enough savings in my bank account to buy a new house. I was really worried; I didnt want to lose that new house at any cost. Thanks to bridging loan, it helped in fulfilling my dream. Let me introduce you to bridging loans and how they can help you in realizing your small dreams. Bridging Loans or Bridge loans are short term loans offered by lenders to cover the financial gap when buying one property before the existing one is sold. The word bridge indicates that the loan is designed to get you out of a temporary obstacle in times of urgent cash needs. Bridging loans work as a bridge to fill in the cash gap. The benefit of taking a bridging loan is that they can be arranged usually at short notice and within a few days. A borrower can be in the form of an individual or corporation. Borrowers can use the loan for any personal or financial purpose. An entrepreneur can use the loan to provide cash for a property transaction until permanent financing can be arranged. Bridging loan can be really helpful in case of auction as it offers bridging facility to borrowers so that a bid on a property can be done with assurance. Bridging loan is a secured loan. It requires a borrower to put a security against the loan. You can put a commercial property, semi-commercial property, development sites, auction properties, residential properties, retail shops or buy to let properties as a security against the loan. Bridging loan providers offer loan for any amount ranging from 25,000 to 5, 00,000. Usually, lenders allow loans up to 65% of the value of the property that is kept as a security against the loan. But you can get a loan for a higher amount too. Bridging loans are given for a short term which varies from 2 weeks to 12 months. Bridging loans are interest only loans. It implies that the borrower is required to pay only interest during the term of the loan and proceeds of the sale are used to repay the principal. Stay ready to pay a higher rate of interest on bridging loans. Past good relations with lenders can be really helpful to get a fast and best loan deal. Remember one thing use a bridging loan only if you are certain that you can repay it within 6 months. Though the loan is secured against collateral but the lender will make a thorough search regarding a borrowers credit history to minimize the risk involved in lending money. There are various lenders in the finance market who can offer you a bridging loan. But, look for qualified UK commercial lenders who can offer you the best loan at favorable rate and terms. You can search for loan providers online too. Just browse through various websites, fill up a small online application form which is available on various lending websites and you are through with the job. Now, the lenders will look for the loan option which is best suited to your requirements. Collect loan quotes from various lenders which are available for free or nominal charges. Compare them to secure the best bridging loan. Dream to own a home or to buy a new building for your business can be realized with a bridging loan. Finance market is huge with innumerous number of lenders. Shop around and look for the bridging loan option which can satisfy your expectations to the best. Eva Baldwyn aims to inform common men and women of the several issues involved in personal loans and mortgages through her articles. An MSc in Economics & Finance from the Warwick Business School is proof enough of the knowledge that she possesses in the field of finance. What You Need To Know To See Fast And Permanent Weight Loss

By Mark Broadbent There are many myths around fat loss, with many people doing many, many different things, all in the belief that they are using the best method to burn calories. However, with all of the literature around - books, magazine articles, celebrity-endorsed routines etc., there seems to be literally hundreds of best ways to lose weight! How many of these work? How many people do you know who go to the gym or exercise classes regularly yet still cant seem to shift those extra pounds? Well Im going to tell you the secret to permanent weight loss. Now, what Im telling you is nothing new, but its the only way to truly succeed in being fit and healthy (which are two completely different states by the way, it is possible to have one without the other!). To be successful in shifting those extra pounds and inches, there are two main aspects that you need to look at (there are many more, but for the most part we will stick to these two) nutrition and exercise. Contrary to popular belief, it is very difficult to make serious and consistent changes to your body without considering both of these factors. You see, to lose fat (notice I said fat, not weight) its a case of simple mathematics, you need to burn more calories than you eat. However, these calories need to be nutrient rich in order for the body to be satisfied and send out the stop eating signal. Eating foods with empty calories (like sugar) do not provide the body with essential nutrition, and so the brain will constantly send out eat signals until these nutrients have been detected, making sure we stay hungry and keep eating! As you can imagine, this can lead to a huge calorie intake. Now Im not saying everything has to be organic (although the benefits this would be huge), but you must avoid processed foods, ready meals, caffeine, alcohol, chocolate and sweets, microwaved food and basically anything thats not natural. A good rule of thumb is that if it wasnt around a thousand years ago, dont eat it. A fresh fruit and veg diet, with some good quality meat and plenty of variety will ensure you are getting all of the ingredients you need for a healthy diet. Lets face it we all know what foods we shouldnt be eating. Cakes, biscuits, sweets etc those guilty pleasures we allow ourselves far too often! Eating 5-6 nutrient-packed meals a day will help trick the body into thinking its taking in more calories than are needed, and so will increase its metabolism, burning more calories. These meals, consisting of foods such as fresh fruit and vegetables and organic meats will ensure the body is getting plenty of vitamins, minerals, essential fats and protein and will keep the brain satisfied that the body has all the nutrients it needs, and therefore prevents any unwanted eat signals. As a result of this, you are able to avoid feeling hungry and will feel much more healthy, and this will show in your mood, skin tone, your eyes, nails and hair Eating smaller meals more frequently will also help the body to maintain constant energy levels, avoiding highs and lows during the day have you ever hit that wall when returning to work from lunch, where you just feel drained and tired with no energy and no enthusiasm? Or how many of you know someone who, without fail, will fall asleep on the sofa after the Sunday roast? Sound familiar? Meal timings are also important, in order to maintain these constant energy levels, you should be aiming to eat around about every 3 hours, leaving no more than 4 hours and no less than 2 hours between meals. Now I can hear alarm bells ringing this sounds like far too much you may be thinking, but remember, these are small meals that you will be eating, not the large portions that many of you are used to eating those dinners where you have to undo the top button of your trousers by the time youve finished. That being said, try to avoid eating large meals of an evening as the calories taken in far outweigh the requirements of the body at that time of day, and if they arent being used, theyre being stored. as fat. You need to throw out that 3-meals-a-day mentality, which has you constantly going to the fridge or shop to get snacks between breakfast, lunch and dinner, and be thinking about having smaller meals for breakfast lunch and dinner, with a planned snack/meal between each, a small salad, some fruit, nuts and seeds, yoghurt anything healthy. Next DO NOT SKIP BREAKFAST! This is without doubt the most important meal of the day. Ive heard many clients, friends and family talking about exercising in the morning before breakfast as it helps burn off more fat this is a myth. Please do not attempt vigorous exercise on an empty stomach. The body needs energy first thing in the morning when you get up to replace energy used through the night. Weve been talking about eating every 2-4 hours, well in the morning youve just gone anywhere up to 12 hours (or more) without eating! Youre body is crying out for nutrition, you need to break the fast. It is during the night that your body is busy repairing itself and resting. Hormone levels are regulated and your body is recharging this requires energy and nutrients gained from your food. By the morning these are severely depleted and so need replacing. This is also the meal that is going to provide your body with the fuel to start your day, without it youll be running on empty til lunch (or whatever snack you need to tide you over til lunch!), and a cup of tea and a biscuit just wont cut it! Try to eat complex carbohydrates and complete proteins a fantastic breakfast that is quick and easy would be an omelette made with three egg whites (you can have one yolk so long as its from an organic or free-range, corn-fed hen) and some fresh vegetables. This will ensure a good amount of protein, with some essential fats and a good array of vitamins and minerals. So, with the very basics of nutrition laid down (this is merely the tip of the iceberg), you should have a good idea of what you should and should not be eating, when to eat it, and why you are doing so. If you arent convinced on why fitness professionals advocate organic foods so much, visit the links page at www.markonefitness.co.uk where you will find a video which shows you some of what goes on in the meat industry with non-organic, mass-production of our beef, chicken, turkey, eggs and pork. Organic food is not a fad, nor is it expensive. It is merely the correct price for this food, which is being undercut by the large profit organisations producing much of our food. One last note on the nutrition side of things is hydration. Far too many people constantly worry about food and what they eat, yet completely neglect hydration, with many of them walking around completely unaware that they are dehydrated. This is a vital part of your fat loss plan as being dehydrated can inhibit the optimal functioning of organs and cells. Water is also a key ingredient for flushing toxins out of your system, if these arent processed they are stored.yupyou guessed it, in your fat cells. So if your not cleaning your system you are preventing your body from shifting that stubborn fat. You should be aiming to drink at least 1 litre of water per 50lbs body weight, and if you drink tea or coffee, or anything containing caffeine, you need to drink even more water as these will be dehydrating you not all drinks will hydrate you! Our bodies are designed to drink water, give it just that. Im not saying you can never have a cup of tea or the odd glass of wine, but remember to drink extra water when you do and try not to make a habit of it! Now to the exercise. How many of those cardio junkies you see in the gym, the ones that seem to run on the treadmills for hours on end, look how you want to look - or even, how they want to look? Not many. Despite it being the long-standing, accepted method, cardiovascular exercise is not the key to successful and permanent fat loss. The secret to burning calories lies in the muscles. These are the furnaces that burn the fuel (calories) and the harder they work, the more energy they need. Put simply if you want to burn calories, work your muscles. Long, arduous cardio workouts are very good for strengthening the cardiovascular system (heart, lungs and blood vessels), but they dont work the muscles hard enough, and can even cause the body to go into a catabolic state (where it breaks down muscle rather than builds it). Now obviously, if were looking to burn calories, we dont want to be losing muscle, so in order to stay in an anabolic state, we need to do shorter, more intense workouts, and we need to be lifting weights! Let me clarify this ladies by lifting weights you are NOT going to end up looking like Arnie (dont worry guys, you wont end up like Popeyes Olive either), however, you ARE aiming to gain muscle. Now, a few extra pounds of muscle spread across your whole body will not leave you looking like the female Hulk, but it will be a few extra pounds of furnace. This in mind, your weight on the scales may not change dramatically - remember what I said earlier about losing fat not weight? Dont worry too much about weight, by all means make note of it, but dont check it again for at least 5 weeks gaining or losing one pound means nothing, something as simple as hydration can cause a bigger fluctuation in weight than this. The best way to keep track of your progress is to take measurements. Make a note of the circumferences of your waist, hips, thighs, arms, and chest and make sure that when you re-measure in a few weeks time you use exactly the same methods and are measuring the exact same places (obviously the top of your thigh is going to be larger than the bottom of your thigh). An even easier way to track progress is to look at how your clothes fit; as you get into your exercise routine youll notice clothes getting looser this is the result youre after isnt it? What good is a number written on paper compared to getting into those jeans you havent been able to wear for years? Many clients are obsessed with seeing how much weight theyve lost and how their body fat percentage has come down, when all they really want is to look in the mirror and see a slimmer person looking back at them! Ok, so when it comes to exercise we are aiming to fire up as many of those furnaces as possible, therefore in each workout you should be using every single muscle, and as many as possible in every exercise in order to burn the maximum number of calories. These full body workouts will ensure that around 600 muscles are going to be asking for more oxygen and more energy. Machines that isolate single muscles or muscle groups do not do this you need to be using free weights and bodyweight exercises. Now this doesnt mean that any exercise done with a free-weight will be working this principle, clearly a bicep curl isnt going to use many muscles other than the biceps. You need to find large, compound exercises with as large a movement as possible to incorporate as many joints and muscles as possible. Done correctly, you will find that these exercises are as good a cardio workout as you need if youre out of breath you are doing aerobic work, and if 600 muscles are screaming out for oxygen, youll be out of breath! Exercises like the squat and press, kettlebell swings, deadlifts, press ups and chins are ideal for this type of workout, although there are infinite combinations of movements that the body is capable of dont get stuck doing the same old things. Changing movement patterns will help to keep the muscles challenged and take the joints through their full range of movement, this is important so as not to wear a groove into the joints by taking them through only one plane of motion every workout, joints are capable of a large amount of motion and should be worked through the complete range on a regular basis. This will promote optimum health and mobility and help to avoid injury. Another reason for mixing up the exercises you choose to do is simply for variety I for one find it tedious sticking to the same old routine for weeks on end, if something as simple as changing exercises keeps my workout fresh and motivating then thats as good a reason as any to do so! One of the most important things to get right when training, along with technique, is training intensity (if you are unsure about proper technique I would recommend you invest in a trainer, even if only for a few sessions to ensure proper form, this is a wise investment in terms of results and preventing injury). For muscles to grow they need to be challenged, so picking up a dumbbell and knocking out 20 repetitions of an exercise with a weight that you could easily complete 30 or 40 reps with wont do anything beneficial with regards to fat loss. Also, as our aim here is to gain some muscle mass, using multiple sets of high repetitions up in the 20s and 30s wont be doing you any favours either. You need to be working more on a strength scale than an endurance one. For this, you should be looking at completing sets to form failure (the point at which you lose good technique in the exercise NOT when you are physically unable to lift the weight any more!) anywhere in between 5 to 12 repetitions. This will be working on increasing the strength of the muscles; and muscular strength and size are closely related. So were aiming for 5-12 reps, how many sets? Given that everybody is different (and some people work harder than others!) this is an awkward question to answer. Try to keep a workout to 1 hour tops, this is including around 10 minutes for a good warm-up consisting of some mobility exercises to take the joints through their full range of motion and something to raise your body temperature and heart rate (though not too quickly); and around 10 minutes at the end to cool down and stretch aim to stretch any muscles that you have worked during the workout along with any correctional stretches of muscles that have been adaptively shortened (ask your trainer to perform a flexibility assessment on you in order to identify these shortened muscles). That leaves a maximum of 40 minutes for your workout. Given a rest period of around 2-3 minutes between sets, try to get as much work as possible done in the time you have. At most then, you can expect to get around 10-12 sets per workout, hitting every muscle/muscle group. This can be increased by using PHA style training to reduce the rest periods but that is beyond the scope of this article. Choose your exercises wisely. As for cardio work, those long, tedious runs on the treadmill need to be made a thing of the past. It has been proven to be far more effective to complete your cardio work in short bursts of high intensity work with rest intervals between. For example, you might split a 25 minute jog up by working at a comfortable pace (one where you are not too out of breath and can carry on for a long period without any problem) for 2 minutes, then increasing the work rate for 3 minutes to a fast walk/jog/run that you can only keep up for the 3 minutes and not much more. Then reduce the speed back to your comfortable pace and repeat this cycle for the 25-minute period. You will find you get a much more interesting and harder workout from working like this and you can also keep it down to as little as 20 minutes youd struggle to keep this going for longer than your 40-minute workout period. There are many ways to split an interval workout so by all means try different exercises such as rowing, skipping, swimming, cycling, cross-training. You could even mix them up during the same workout to spice things up a bit. As you get fitter you can work harder, reduce rest periods, increase work periods or find other ways to increase the workout. Which leads me nicely onto the next port of call.Progression. In order to continue to get results you need to increase the intensity of your workouts every time you go to the gym (or wherever you workout). This could be as simple as trying to get one more rep out in a set, increasing the weight you are using, changing the speed of the reps or simply progressing an exercise to a more challenging version. Without this constant increase, your body will adapt to the challenge it has been set and then stay there! As for frequency, aim to be doing some form of exercise every day, this doesnt have to mean hours in the gym, but get an exercise routine together that you can complete in 15-20 minutes that you can do every morning/evening at home. This could be anything from walking the dog to an aerobics DVD. Visit www.markonefitness.co.uk for a downloadable home workout. So with the basics of nutrition and a fair idea of what you should be doing you should be ready to start your journey. Dont think Just do! These methods have proved results time and time again and they will work for you if you stick to them. So if youve been struggling to drop those extra inches from your waist using more conventional methods, give this a try, youll be amazed at the results you can achieve! Good luck! Mark Broadbent Dip. How to Choose a Wedding Minister in Central Florida

By Karla Ruzycki-Davis Perfect Ceremonies are Created by the Best Wedding Ministers When it’s time to buy a house, choose a car or trust someone to paint your house you want and expect nothing but the best! It is no different when choosing a Minister to officiate your Wedding! The perfect wedding minister knows a thing or two about love, weddings, and creating a memorable ceremony. Key things to look for are a fresh and vibrant person who is a breath of fresh air! Tired of stale, stuffy, old traditional Ministers who have everyone falling asleep at the reading of 1 Corinthians 13? We are too! Do you feel like the weddings you attend are identical to all the others but simply with a different Bride and Groom? Find someone who is recognized as a worldwide Professional Speaker or as an Author, Love Coach or Poet with several published books and consistently writes about love and relationships. This can add suggestions to create the most memorable of ceremonies. Opt out of a cookie-cutter ceremony, rather speak up as the Bride and Groom so your Minister can best understand what you are trying to achieve. Is it fun, crazy and comical, or is it traditional and conservative? Perhaps it is unique with a sand ceremony on the beach? Whatever venue you choose and whatever your dream wedding ceremony consists of, make it happen! It is important to build a relationship with your Wedding Minister before even preparing for the ceremony. All of the testimonials of your Minister of choice should be “WOW! This was the perfect ceremony!” Find someone who is happy to meet with you to answer any questions that you might have surrounding the ceremony and the rehearsal. Make sure your Officiant will be present at the Rehearsal and ensures everyone knows their place so they are fully prepared for the Big Day! Gated Online Communities Phenomenon on the Internet

By Marc Lucas The recent phenomenon of so called “Gated Online Communities” seems to be catching on. Most of us are used to stand behind the velvet rope and wait patiently for a grim looking individual to let us pass the barrier and grant us entry into the “exclusive” and “hip” clubs. This is a well known ritual around the world repeating itself every Saturday or any other Party night of the week. After being introduced to the mass concept of “Social Online Networking” through sites like friendster and other “open” online communities, where everybody could join, we now know how the real life concept of being rejected by the bouncer feels in cyber space, thank’s to sites like http://www.aSmallWorld.net and http://www.OutOrIn.net. The third in line which is by invitation only is http://www.orkut.com by Google, which can not be added to the list after exceeding 12 Mio. members. Just a few month ago nobody would have thought that the “snobiness” and sense of exclusive circle and the feeling of belonging to the hip crowd could be surpassed thanks to the strict requirements of the “by invitation only” introduced by the now already commercial and well known aSmallWorld closed community site, when a new player appears on the virtual club scene of gated social networking site, which are only a handful at this point and proclaims to have the strictest requirements of any Social Networking or Gated Community Site on the Internet. After looking at the application process of both competitors I could not avoid thinking “what comes next” and “who are these people so desperate to join these sites offering thousands of dollars to get an invitation”? Where it was relatively easy to join the http://www.aSmallWorld.net Community Site, just with an invite by another member, http://www.OutOrIn.net makes it a lot harder, and trying to discourage potential members even about thinking to join, with requirements like “You need to have attended a prestigious university or boarding school” or “You need to be a member of a Members Only Club”. After having fulfilled all the criteria you will be happy and excited to receive your membership, join and have the feeling of being “one in a million” - not so fast - the membership application still need’s to pass the committee! But do not let me discourage you, specially if your extremely wealthy and well connected! How to Get a Date

By Daniel Okula Step #1- The first impression. Before you approach a girl or women, you need to know a few obvious formalities. Be clean - be sure you are wearing attractive cologne, clean clothes, and fresh breath. Woman notice the smallest details, so bad breath or B.O. will be one of the first impressions of you and you don’t want that. Depending on what kind of girl you want to go after, you should always wear clean, fitting clothes; stains or overlarge clothes are a indication of what kind of lifestyle you live and you want to give her the best impression possible. Right before you approach her, you should put your confident but not cocky and witty but not corny cap on because that is the next thing that girls will be attracted to after your looks. Step #2-The Actual Date. Be a gentleman, open the door for her, take her coat and be considerate. This will be an indication to her that you care about her and that you know how to treat a woman. Take her out somewhere where both of you enjoy going. Having the same common interests is important in a relationship because you will be able to hold a conversation on a topic you and her agree on. This way you will avoid fights. If you are taking her out somewhere to eat, split the price in half between the two of you since this is your first date. By doing this, she will realize that she is an equal to you. If she is one that is very ‘high class’, pay the bill but next time offer to split the bill because if you don’t, she might think of you as ‘the supplier’. Try to hold conversation and let her talk about herself. Ask questions about her career, school or personality, woman love to talk about themselves, simply because they know themselves the best! Don’t mumble, make sure to speak clearly because that might be a sign of an insecurity. If you guys have a conversation where both you of enjoy it, it is a sure way to make plans for your next date. Which brings me to my next point. Step #3- Conclusion of the date. If she is smiling and giving good body language, you might be in for a next date. If you guys were different and different opinioned, it might be a sign to look for another girl. Ask her directly if she would like to go out with you again and if she is making excuses, she isn’t interested, but if she responds positively, get her number and plan a next date. Good Luck ! Depression and Its Treatments

By Jarred Dee One in five Americans suffer from depression in their lifetime. It affects more than 17 million Americans each year. According to a statistic from the National Institute of Health, the estimated cost of depression to the U.S. is between 33 and 44 billion dollars a year. Depression is linked to the more than 30,000 suicides a year. (Ainsworth 3-5) The depression being discussed is not merely a day of feeling blue but a clinical diagnosis, also known as Major Depressive Disorder, or MDD (Clinical Practice Guidelines). The statistic of one in five Americans would include at least one of my family members, probably two. My family has had 4 members who have battled clinical depression, including myself. Depression is a bigger problem than most Americans realize and it demands immediate attention. Although the new technology of antidepressant medications can be effective, negative side effects and healthy alternatives should make antidepressant medications your last resort. Depression is not a new thing, and neither are its treatments. Antidepressant medications have evolved from monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOI) to tricyclics (TCA) to the most recent selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRI). SSRIs are much more effective than earlier medications, and some versions such as Prozac have even been called miracle drugs (Ainsworth 93). It would be ignorant of anybody to say that antidepressants have no place in the medical field. With over 54 million Americans having been prescribed Prozac alone (Prozac), SSRIs have established a large role in the treatment of depression. Such medications are capable of correcting some problems that nothing else can. However, these medications do not come without their negative aspects, and there are many. SSRIs are notorious for their negative side effects. Ainsworth states that some smaller side effects can include headaches, nausea, diarrhea, and stomachaches (89). It can be argued that these small side effects are nothing when compared to the symptoms that a depressed person faces daily, but that doesnt make them any less harmful. SSRIs also have much larger side effects that must be taken into consideration. One of the larger side effects that SSRIs can cause is sleep disturbances. Ironically, depression itself is noted for its symptoms of bad sleep patterns, insomnia or excessive sleep (Ainsworth 57). SSRIs do not help these sleeping problems. Psychology Information Online (PIO) states that one very common and large side effect of some SSRIs is the constant feeling of drowsiness and the feeling of never having slept enough. The medication that is supposed to stop depression is actually adding to one of its worst symptoms, proving it a non-preferred method of treatment. Another major negative side effect that antidepressants can cause is the inability to reach orgasm (PIO). An interview with Sarah reveals that depression alone has caused the inability to reach orgasm for her, and that this is a common problem for males and females as well. Medications add to this problem rather than solve it. Antidepressant medications once again fail to treat the symptoms of the very illness that they are trying to cure. The application of antidepressants is not an exact science, and it still poses risks. SSRIs alter the amount of chemicals in your brain, either by supplying chemicals or preventing the use of certain chemicals in the brain. Earlier medications, such as MAO’s, proved to be quite dangerous while proper dosage amounts were found for each patient. PIO explains that an overdose of certain MAOs can be fatal. The newer medications such as SSRIs have greatly reduced this risk, but fatal overdosing still remains as a very small possibility. Accidental suicide can be caused by the very medication that is supposed to be treating depression, a large cause of suicides in the United States (PIO). Due to the function of antidepressant medications, they can cause complex problems that are unrelated to depression. As antidepressants alter the amount of chemicals in your brain at any given time, the disruption of such a complex system can lead to many other problems. One example of this is brought up in Elkins Depression and Natural Medicine when it says, While they [SSRIs] raise the level of a certain type of serotonin, they lower another. There is also a concern that these drugs act as nervous system stimulants, which can result in altering ones perception of reality and impairing judgment (32). Impairing judgment is one of the side effects of alcohol, and we know how dangerous that can be. These side effects must be considered when deciding on treatments for depression. When taken with other prescription drugs, SSRIs can cause serious problems. Ainsworth reports that SSRIs interact with many other medications by altering the speed or efficiency of liver enzymes that break down the other medications (93). The result can cause serious side effects. This is an especially big problem for the large percentage of elderly people taking antidepressants in combination with other prescriptions. Ainsworth explains that It is wise to discuss with your physician any medication combinations that include an SSRI (95). Any use of antidepressant medication has its risks, and must be evaluated carefully. Many of the negative side effects of antidepressant medications have been evaluated against their risks and benefits. I do not wish you to believe that the only road to treat depression is dangerous. There is an alternative, less risky method for treating depression that is much less intrusive. Healthy alternatives to antidepressant medications exist naturally, and can be just as effective. One such healthy alternative can be found by monitoring the diet. Vitamins, minerals, and amino acids make up our body, and provide chemicals to our brain through our bodys natural processes. Deficiencies in vitamins, minerals, and amino acids can cause a lack of serotonin and norepinephrine, the primary chemicals involved in mood regulation (Elkins 26). This deficit can be caused by eating unhealthily, or simply by not eating enough. Diets, a fad among Americans, are also related to depression. Elkins writes The most common reason for abandoning a diet is dealing with the serotonin depletion we experience. The classic symptoms of dieting, which include irritability, depression, moodiness, and nervousness can be the direct result of a serotonin deficiency, created by a lack of carbohydrates (114). A natural consequence of a low carbohydrate intake is lower levels of serotonin in the brain, suggesting that a healthy diet results in a healthy amount of serotonin in the brain. Elkins supports this idea by saying, If serotonin levels are so crucial to both depression and carbohydrate craving, amino acid and vitamin therapy may be extremely valuable in helping to control neurotransmitter levels (114). The purpose of antidepressant medications is to help regulate neurotransmitter levels in the brain, which can also be accomplished naturally by the proper intake of essential vitamins, minerals, and amino acids. The healthy alternative offers no negative side effects. As discussed earlier, sleep plays a major role in depression as well. I conducted an interview with a therapist by the name of Terry Route. He is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), and has been a practicing therapist for over 20 years. He has worked extensively with patients suffering from depression throughout his employment. I asked him what the first thing he suggested to a patient suffering from depression was. He responded with, Fix their sleep. Get them to go to bed and wake up at the same time every day. Sleep where you will not be disturbed, in the basement with earplugs, in the dark, away from your spouse if necessary. Route continued by saying that when they actually followed this advice, the depression was overcome in 75% of all cases. I must admit that there is some controversy here, due to the fact that depression causes sleep abnormalities. If depression causes un-restful and interrupted sleep, how can sleeping be a cure for depression? The trick here lies with the neurotransmitters in the brain. Serotonin helps regulate sleep cycles. If serotonin levels are abnormally low, sleeping intervals decrease. In other words, you tend to wake up easier than you are supposed to (Elkins 194). Lower serotonin levels means that your sleep is interrupted easier than it should be. By following Routes advice you actually improve your restful sleep and allow your body to replenish depleted serotonin levels while you rest. Sleep, a natural process without negative side effects, has been proven to aid in relieving symptoms of depression. According to Justice Wirzs article in the Archives of General Psychiatry, one other factor that can naturally combat depression without negative side effects is sunlight. As light is received in the pineal gland through the eyes, it triggers the shutdown of the production of melatonin, another chemical found in the body. Melatonin is a key chemical that induces the production of serotonin. When a person does not receive enough sunlight, the production cycle of melatonin is disrupted. The pineal gland does not function properly and does not produce enough melatonin, resulting in an insufficient amount of melatonin to trigger the production of serotonin. (861-862) Doesnt artificial light cause the same reaction in the pineal gland as sunlight? Dr. Richard Wurtman, Ph.D. of MIT points out that artificial lights that are typically used to illuminate interiors provide only around one-tenth of the light which would be found outside under one shady tree on a sunny day (qtd. in Elkins 93). The information suggests that there is no replacement for good old fashion sunlight, and our body knows it. Another good natural combatant to depression is exercise. Prolonged exercise produces endorphins in the body. Endorphins can cause a feeling of euphoria, also known as runners high, which counteracts the sad moods of depression. It has been suggested and studied that endorphins in the body help restore chemical imbalances to their natural state, aiding in the treatment of depression. An article posted on the web page for the American Psychology Association reads, The greater the length of the exercise program and the larger the total number of exercise sessions, the greater the decrease in depression with exercise (Psychology Matters). Antidepressant medications and their negative side effects have been discussed, as well as positive healthy alternatives. Each has been weighed for its benefits and risks. Negative side effects can be extreme or mild, depending on the case. Antidepressant medications have been proven to treat depression, but not without their risks. Such medications should only be used when absolutely necessary, when other methods have been exhausted. A depressed person may have a hard time getting themselves out of the hole they are in even when they want to try natural treatment methods. In such cases, medication can be used as a means to get the person started towards a more healthy treatment method. The least intrusive method of treatment should be our first effort. If natural methods do not work, then the risks of antidepressant medications become a worthy option for treatment. I have suffered from deprssion in my own life. I have had a front row seat as my loved ones suffered. Nobody knows better than myself how nasty depression can be, and how hard it is to conquer. My family members and I have tried every possible medication and we remain unsatisfied. The negative side effects are horrible. I have done everything I can to treat my depression without the use of antidepressant medications and succeeded, at times. Other times, I have done everything in my power and it has not been enough. Antidepressants were my last resort, and they worked. I did have to deal with many ugly side effects, but they were absolutely necessary and I knew that because I had already tried everything else. If you have more than 5 loved ones, chances are that you will deal with depression first hand. Many people run to their doctor and ask for miracle drugs without considering natural alternatives that dont hold the risks or negative side effects of antidepressant medications. It is our responsibility to know the options available so that when depression hits, we are prepared to assist our loved ones with the best solution to their circumstance. Medications can be effective, but should be used as a last resort due to the availability of healthy alternatives that offer no negative side effects. Works Cited Ainsworth, Patricia M.D.. Death to the American, British & Jewish Peoples?

By David Ben-Ariel You’re getting paid for this nonsense right? - asks an internet forum poster flustered over my flurry of posts and participation found all over the web, as I am an e-vangelist whose coverage is ever expanding as God wills and Google reveals. It’s only nonsense to those who are either woefully ignorant of the Bible and history or who reject the plain truth they testify to and I teach. I am not getting paid but should be. Because for the life of me, I can’t work out why else you’d stick with it. Because I love you and seek to share what I wholeheartedly feel is important for the world to hear, not just hiding behind some podium or safely speaking to a converted audience but reaching out to everybody and hopefully I’ve only just begun as the Word must get out. And what better way, than to post the same tripe over and over at a website where everyone knows you’re nuts. If this is how you get the word out, you need more help than any of us can give. Yeshua said that if they called Him names and mocked His message we shouldn’t expect anything less. However, it is you who will need all the help that the Two Witnesses will give, live from Jerusalem. They will continue with this bittersweet message and offer hope and comfort to their CAPTIVE AUDIENCE. This is only the beginning of the THUNDER before the Storm, as Beyond Babylon will become a national debate and an international controversy. Expect full page newspaper ads, like Herbert W. Armstrong took out in The Wall Street Journal, the Los Angeles Times, San Francisco Chronicle, and other daily newspapers to reach everybody high and low, rich and poor, regardless of race or religion - the largest possible audience! You already know the message, as do many others now who have read what I’ve said repeatedly since so many are hard of hearing: the German-Jesuit EU will conquer the British-Israelites and Jews because God will use them to punish us for our idolatry and immorality. Such defeat, deportation and occupation will last 3 1/2 years and then Yeshua will return and reign and save us from our sins and our enemies. Yeshua is our Lord and our Savior, our Priest and our King - our physical and spiritual NATIONAL DELIVERER. Some will hear and heed now and save themselves from the unimaginable horrors about to be unleashed upon the world (by the German BEAST promoted by that false prophet pope), but many will die or go into NATIONAL CAPTIVITY where they will remember they were forewarned by men like me they merely found entertaining at the time (Ezekiel 33:28-33). Some will die “laughing,” grieved to say. This warning will be a witness to survivors and they’ll realize that the bitter part of the message they had mocked has actually come true and then they’ll be able to take comfort that the sweet part of the message - of NATIONAL DELIVERANCE and the Return of the King - will also come true. The Two Witnesses will emphasize that GOOD NEWS. This all serves a purpose, there’s a method behind the madness, whether or not you get it…now or later. Just remember the bittersweet message of Beyond Babylon: Europe’s Rise and Fall: Bitter message: Europe’s rise. We’ll suffer national defeat and deportation “beyond Babylon.” Sweet message: Europe’s fall. We’ll be restored to life “beyond Babylon.” David Ben-Ariel is a Christian-Zionist writer and author of Beyond Babylon: Europe’s Rise and Fall. With a focus on the Middle East and Jerusalem, his analytical articles help others improve their understanding of that troubled region. Check out the Beyond Babylon blog.
